Our show is all about taking part. Whether it be for serious dressage tests or simply to have a go on the ‘handy pony’ round, there is something for everyone and lots of rosettes and trophies in every single class along with a professional photographer to record it all. This show is ONLY open for riders that attend lessons at SLS and owners/loaners of any SLS ponies.
Gaining experience in the show ring is nothing if you do not have the skills to prepare for it. We offer practical demonstrations and workshops on plaiting, pimping and pampering your pony to look the very best they can. We do have a selection of show jackets and hacking jackets if you really want to look the part!
The Annual Yard Show features clear round showjumping, dressage, showing classes and handy pony. The clear round showjumping starts at pole on the ground and can be led.
Whether you win or come close, the SLS Annual Yard Show is a valuable hands-on showing experience dedicated solely for our own riders. We use professional judges and confidence is gained throughout the day. Parents get involved too and there is always a delicious BBQ and an opportunity to have a shop in our ‘pop-up’ second hand tack store! There are so many opportunities for the SLS team to corroborate and dream big!
